UN: War crimes possibly committed in Yemen by all parties

According to Mikrofonnews Agency (MHA), a new report by the United Nations says all sides involved in Yemen’s war have most likely committed war crimes and violated international laws.

The report which will be submitted the UN Security Council next month says civilians have been targeted deliberately during airstrikes and bombings carrying out by Yemen’s government and Saudi-led military coalition and the rebels, which may be considered as war crimes in an international and impartial court.

The report also says putting restrictions on transportation of goods and medical stuff through the air and sea routes may also be considered as a war crime because it deprives people of access to food and medicine.

The report expresses concern over the humanitarian situation in the war-torn country of Yemen. according to the United Nations more than 10 thousand people, 6600 of them civilians, have been killed and more than 55 thousand others wounded in Yemen war started in 2015.
