Several agents behind recent unrests arrested : Tehran Prosecutor

According to Mikrofonnews Agency (MHA), Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor of Tehran says a number of agents behind the recent strikes in some of Tehran’s markets have been arrested by security forces.

Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi said on Tuesday the detained persons who were provoking the marketers to close down the markets, are not a part of the merchants or marketers. He said the arrested people will not be freed from custody until the trial day.

“America is trying hard to insecure Iran. Yesterday they tried to intimidate the marketers and forced them to shut down shops. They orchestrated riots and chaos in some parts of the city”, said Tehran’s Public Prosecutor on the sideline of a general summit of Iran’s Judiciary in Tehran.

“My message for those who are trying to disrupt security or economy system in Iran is that the judicial system will give a harsh response to them and those behind the unrests will be arrested and not freed until trial day something which happened for those who were detained during an anti-government demonstration in last December”, said Dolatabadi.

Iran arrested hundreds of Iranians in December of 2017 during a mass demonstration in several cities. Earlier on Tuesday, Head of Iran’s Judicial system warned that disrupting the economic system of Iran has a punishment of 20 years in jail or a death penalty.
