According to Mikrofonnews Agency (MHA), one day after a heavy snowfall in northern parts of Iran, most of the roads are blocked and Tehran, the capital is facing many problems.
Schools and universities are closed, several flights have been canceled and trains have been stuck in snow. A passenger train heading from Qom to Mashhad, couldn’t go further after 7 hours travel. Hundreds of passengers including children are waiting in the med of their way, according to witnesses.
Power has been cut off in five metro stations in Tehran and outskirts. Tehran’s airport is partially closed, reports say. Tehran Municipality has been widely criticized for not responding quickly to the problems.
