Road accidents killed 12 thousand people in 9 months in Iran

According to Mikrofonnews Agency (MHA), at least 12 thousand people, most of them men, have been killed in road accidents in the past 9 months in Iran, officials say.

Iran has a high rate of road accidents which leave thousands dead and wounded every year. Low safety standards of the roads and neglecting traffic rules by drivers are seen as the main reasons of road accidents in Iran.
