Mohammad Salas, Iranian Darvish executed in Tehran

According to Mikrofonnews Agency (MHA), Iranian officials confirmed that Mohammad Salas, a member of Iranian Darvishes, has been executed on Monday morning.

He was sentenced to death penalty by Revolutionary Court in Tehran for killing three Iranian policemen during a demonstration in Tehran last year. Mohamad Salas denied the charges saying he was not the driver of a vehicle who hit a crowd of police forces during the demonstration.

Mohamad Salas said he has evidence that at the time when the incident happened he was already in jail. On Sunday his family was asked to meet him for the last time in prison.

Amnesty International has asked Iranian government not to execute Mohamad Salas on Sunday night. Mohamad Salas was arrested last year during a demonstration of Iranian Darvishes in Tehran.
