Iran’s Vice-President asks people to stay calm

According to Mikrofonnews Agency (MHA), Iran’s Vice-President Ishaq Jahangiri urged people to maintain calmness saying even in the most critical time the government will provide people with the required currency.

He says the management of currency reserves is one of the priorities for the government and planning has been done to address the issue.

He has warned the government will counter those who are trying to damage the economic system through corruption.

The comments came as scores of Iranian marketers and merchants staged a protest on Monday against the devaluation of Iran’s Rial and a rise in the price of imported goods in Iran.
