French companies not able to work with Iran : official

According to Mikrofonnews Agency (MHA), French Minister of Economic says most of French companies are not able to continue their activities in Iran despite the willingness to invest in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Bruno Le Maire says the companies have to halt their activities in Iran due to the US sanctions imposed on the country. The US President Donald Trump terminated Iran’s nuclear deal on May 8, and reimposed sanctions on Iran.

Several foreign companies stopped activities in Iran since then. Meanwhile, Le Maire had criticized President Trump for trying to have control on the world by imposing economic pressures, saying that the United States of America must not act as the world economic police.

He urged the European countries to maintain their independence towards the economic policies of the United States of America.
