France says will not relocate its embassy from Tel Aviv

According to Mikrofon news agency (MHA), France has announced that will not relocate its embassy  from Tel Aviv to another city.

The comments came days after US President Donald Trump declared Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said will announce east of Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine.

Speaking to a local radio, Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Foreign Minister said his country has no plan for now to relocate its embassy now in Tel Aviv, adding that French backs peace process in the region.

Despite strong objections from the world leaders, Donald Trump declared Jerusalem as the capital of Israel on December 6. The decision was followed by demonstrations across the Muslim countries and was condemned by western leaders.

Following the unilateral declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel by Donald Trump, Israel is seeking support of other western allies who have rejected the appeal so far.
