Demonstrations resume in Tehran / police have heavy presence

According to Mikrofonnews Agency (MHA), strikes and protests resumed in Tehran on Tuesday as many merchant and small traders joint the protests.

Police have a heavy presence in several parts of Tehran, the capital as more marketers shut down their shops in the city to protest a devaluation of Iran’s Rial and a rise on the prices of imported goods.

Videos circulated in social media shows scores of people are coming to Lalezar avenue in Tehran to join the demonstrations.

Reports show that Iranian merchants have started a strike in Arak, Kermanshah, and Tabriz on Tuesday.
